3. American Mary
I don’t think I can say it enough times or stress it strongly enough-American Mary is amazing and you should have seen it by now. It’s not a subtle film, but it is a fine slasher with a gleefully gruesome edge that it refuses to apologise for-full of creative murder and shockingly horrible characters in the seedy underbelly of a city, it’s shot through with a rich vein of creativity sorely missed in many modern horrors.
