5. The Cabin in the Woods
Once again, this is a film that I just can’t recommend enough to all honest-to-goodness horror film fans. Packed with in-jokes and references those in the know will get, it’s peppered with that classic Joss Whedon meta-touch and a brilliant performance from the young central cast. Don’t be fooled-this has really scary moments and enough gore to drown a large mammal of your choice, so don’t write it off as a horror-comedy just yet.
