6. The Lords of Salem
Rob Zombie is a director who divides-both in the critical world and in his home genre of horror. His Halloween remake was warmly received while House of 1000 Corpses/The Devil’s Rejects alternately drew derision and impressed responses from viewers and critics alike. This, his newest film, is by far the strangest-full of odd and striking imagery and a surprisingly subdued performance from wife Sherri Moon Zombie, it’s worth a look.
