Even Oscar-nominated films can find themselves at the wrong end of the movie mistakes spectrum if they don’t keep a close enough eye on what’s happening beyond the camera lens. This year’s Oscar nominee blunders included the changing spelling of Captain Philips title in the Tom Hanks movie of the same name, some impressive oxygen-preserving by Sandra Bullock in Gravity, and some magical appearing underwear on multiple occasions in The Wolf of Wall Street. For some reason, it’s always doubly satisfying to catch the blunders of a movie so well respected.
