3. The Fault in Our Stars
The adaptation of John Greene’s weepy masterpiece hits cinemas at the beginning of June. The film stars Divergent’s Shailine Woodley as Hazel: a terminal cancer patient whose life is brightened through the introduction of Augustus (played by Ansel Elgort). Completing the cast is Willem Dafoe (in a rare role that might not scare anyone) Laura Dern, and True Blood’s Sam Trammell. The film is also the sophomore effort of director Josh Boone. I’m predicting that this will be the little indie movie that could of 2014.
