11. And the Musical!
The film was recently adapted for the Broadway stage-earning a few Tony nominations along the way and marking Broadway debuts for over twenty young actrs and actresses. The plot of the musical differs from that of the film, but is still focused around cheerleading. It’s gained much praise from audiences and critics alike for it’s ambitious routines-so at least it’s true to the spirit of the movie!
