The title of the film comes from the nickname a friend of Hughe’s gave to detention classes in his high school. And speaking of high school, Hughe’s own alma mater was used for many of the outside shots of the movie-shots that were re-used for Ferris Bueller’s day off. Hughes appears in the movie briefly, picking up one of the students from the school-see if you can spot him in his distinctive car!
