Another comedy-this time, starring Alec Guiness in multiples roles in the story of a murderous nephew attempting to procure the family fortune for himself. While it might sound more like the plot to a campy soap opera, don’t be fooled- there’s a jet black vein of humour that runs through this films from start to finish, and a superb performance for a repressed, yet irrepressible Guinness steals the show. You’ll love it because it’s the perfect blend of silly, violent, and extremely well-written.
