6. Cutler’s Grammar School
Okay, so I think I could pretty comfortably live without Richard Griffiths (late; lamented) fondling people on the bag of a motorbike, but I have a warm fuzzy nostalgia for English grammar schools that The History Boys encapsulates perfectly. Okay, things aren’t perfect-you fight, you make up, the pressure’s on for making it into high-profile universities and working out what you’re going to do with your damn life-but with friends like these, none of that matters. Bros till the end. The original Alan Bennet play, by the way, is equally brilliant.
