11. All About Eve
All About Eve is widely considered one of the better movies to come out of Hollywood when it was released in the fifties- a smart, funny, and tongue-in-cheek drama with some fabulous central performances-especially from an underrated Bette Midler. Several critics failed to see it’s charm, however- “Its highly polished, often witty surface hides an unenterprising plot and some preposterous human behaviour.”
