The above is the name given to the giant space monster in found footage flick Cloverfield by it’s creators- a fond infantilising for a rampaging space creature. We catch glimpses of the villain as it tears through New York, and the design is fascinating-part fish, part classic alien, and all terror. Not just from the people-the creature is meant to be a baby one of it’s kind, lost and scared and throwing a tantrum on Earth. I’d have little sympathy.
