Very rarely to horror movies create monsters that are actually memorable-either their budget has clearly gone elsewhere and the monster looks a bit daft, or the real monsters are just crazy people. Not so in Jeepers Creepers-despite the knowingly ridiculous set-up, the monster is scary as they come. He’s a centuries-old winged being who’ll pick apart your carcass for spare parts at a moment’s notice-what’s not to love (read: hate) about that? Beautiful character design pulls Creeper into the realm of brilliant baddies.
