A group of semi-estranged friends go potholing and find themselves at the mercy of some deeply unsavoury mutants who see the caves as their territory. Combine tight spaces, pursuit, and potential cannibals and you’re instantly on to a winner. It’s the women’s interpersonal relationship that cause the most tension, pushing this from an average thriller into an intelligent entry into the scary-cannibal canon.
