4. Let’s Scare Jessica to Death
Again, it might not sound like the superb movie that it really is, but Let’s Scare Jessica to Death is the really ugly side of dead teenager flicks. Featuring a sterling lead performance from Zohra Lampert as the eponymous Jessica, it’s really a piece about madness, and we can find it affecting us and those close to us. Not really light fare, then, but genuinely creepy and not afraid to get elbows-deep in giblets and gore. Nasty, wonderful stuff.
