2. Juno
Probably the ultimate teen pregnancy movie (we’ll come to it’s counterpart after this), Juno takes a sharp, satirical look at motherhood and what it means to be pregnant versus what it means to be a mother. Ellen Page is smart with being obnoxious as the title character who is searching for ways to get rid of her unwanted pregnancy without abortion. The script from Diablo Cody is stellar, while the supporting cast-including the as-yet unsung Michael Cera- provide a convincing backdrop against which Juno must live out this devastating, sweet and often funny portion of her life.
