There’s nary a more striking poster than that of the Home Alone lead, Kevin, standing with his face in his hands and a silent scream on his lips. Horrifying, really-but even more so when you consider the source material. This iconic pose, which has been pastiched a thousand times over, is actually based on Edvard Much’s painting The Scream, which is supposed to depict a soul in torment. Not until the sequels came out, surely.
