3. Hero
Hero is one of those action films that doesn’t necessarily immediately spring to mind when you think of a generic action feature-there are no explosions, no car chases, and an almost complete lack of hot babes in danger. It’s a martial arts movie, with style- featuring almost mystical fight scenes, it looks like a really violent piece of art and features a great driving plot to carry things along. Tragically lovely, this is an action movie for the intellectual among us. With some really great female characters thrown in for good measure.
