Okay, so anyone who doesn’t appreciate 300 on some level really is a freak of nature. It never sets itself up to be anything other than a spectacle-this is no historical epic or morality tale. Gerard Butler shouts a lot and leads hordes of men into epic battle scenes, against a beautiful backdrop that’s taken almost directly from the comic book it’s based on. Utterly mindless, but really good fun into the bargain.
