5. Love, Actually
It’s extremely difficult to pull of an ensemble cast and make sure everyone is just as strong as their counterparts, but Love, Actually manages it. Set over Christmas in England, it features pretty much every British actor you’ve ever heard of-Keira Knightley, Alan Rickman, Liam Neeson- and a few you hadn’t at the time (12 Years A Slave’s Chiwetel Eijofor features). It’s warm and fuzzy without going too far into schmaltz thanks to a great Richard Curtis script.
