3. Clueluess
Sure, it’s not as intellectual or subversive as the above two movies-but Clueless is the ultimate example of what a basic high school movie should be. Alicia Silverstone plays the lead as she tries to turn the new kid into the popular kid-with mixed results. Paul Rudd and Donald Faison provide brilliant support, and, however cynical you plan to be about the film, when you sit down to watch it you’ll be surprised at how many of the jokes still land-and how cute that damn romance is.
