2. The Lion King
Another one that you’d never really consider being based on Shakespeare-but the classic singalong is actually an anthropomorphic take on Hamlet. The son of the murdered King must avenge his death and reclaim his Kingdom. If you love the movie, however, I wouldn’t recommend looking for Timone and Pumba or Hakuna Matata in the original play-you’re bound to be disappointed. And Simba (Hamlet) is a lot more maudlin. Basically, just stick with the Lion King.
