8. Minority Report
Much as I’m a big fan of the Philip K. Dick short story and therefore not such a big fan of the film, one thing the filmmakers did get spot-on right was the technology. The film, which is set in a future where criminals are caught before they commit crimes, we get a glimpse of leading man Tom Cruise using touchscreen technology. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this, but the distinctive swiping motions are surprisingly prescient-as was the layout of the screen he uses.
