1. The Dark Knight
Pretty much setting the standard for a decade of superhero movies to come, Christopher Nolan’s centrepiece for his Batman trilogy is a bit of a masterpiece. Beautifully shot and packed with pulse-racing action sequences, Batman became a very grown-up affair after this. Add the Oscar-winning performance by Heath Ledger as the terrifyingly unpredictable Joker and this movie earns it’s spot at the top-and anyone who disagrees can go burn on a pile of money.
