12. Dren
While Splice may not be the finest monster movie ever made, it does feature a great sci-fi twist- that is the creation of Dren. The not-quite-human design of her upper body is fascinating-she’s somewhere between a cat and a person, full of destructive curiosity and animated so beautifully you forget that not all over her is there (literally). Delphine Chenaec plays the role with a mix of make-up, special effects and a dedicated performance, bouncing off Adrien Brody with ease.
