12 Great Movies You Might Have Missed
8. Cutter’s Way
A tragic victim of just never quite getting the recognition it deserved, Cutter’s Way wound up being a film everyone had vaguely heard of at some point but few had actually bothered to watch. A deceptively simple mystery launches everything into action, following everyman Jeff Bridges as he tries to solve a murder after he spots a suspect discreetly dumping a body. But the film really belongs to a screen-dominating John Heard as the Cutter of the title- he might not be in every scene, but you find yourself kind of wishing that he was as he gurns, grins and sparks his way through every on-camera encounter. This is the kind of film that you should never allow to be lost to the mists of time- keeping lost gems like this alive should be the aim of amateur movie curators everywhere.
